Fort Lauderdale is a charmer. Nicknamed the Venice of America, the city is home to laid-back beaches, exciting parties, and an exhaustive list of tourist attractions. Once considered America's best spring break destination, Fort Lauderdale now boasts of many more reasons for you to be in this city. So book your cheap flights to Fort Lauderdale and embark on a trip of a lifetime. And here are some of the best Fort Lauderdale attractions and activities that must be a part of your itinerary.

The Beaches

This city on the water is best known for its gorgeous beaches. Fort Lauderdale is sunny for about 230 days a year and thus it's an adobe for sun seekers. About 23 miles of public beaches in the city cater for everyone from beach bums to water sports enthusiasts.

Panoramic views of the city and the ocean from the Hillsboro Lighthouse

The extensive coral reef right off the coastline caused many vessels to crash and thus the Hillsboro Lighthouse was built. It's best known for flashing world's strongest beam at twenty-eight nautical miles, however the views you will savor after climbing its 175 steps are also worth your time. You will have to take the tour that departs from Sands Harbor once a month.

Snorkeling at the Fort Lauderdale Beach

With coral reef just about 100 yards off the coastline, you wouldn't even need a boat to snorkel in Fort Lauderdale. Just put on a snorkel or a dive mask, strap on some fins and jump into the water to spot tropical fish, sea turtle, and even dolphins. You can take daily snorkeling tours from Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Dining and shopping at Los Olas Blvd.

Have your fill of sun-kissed beaches? Head to the palm tree-lined street of Las Olas Boulevard where arrays of fashionable boutiques, art galleries, and fine outdoor, open-air restaurants await you. Be it an afternoon or evening, you will find the shops and eateries at the boulevard always welcoming.

Kayak through Mangroves at Westlake Park

Westlake Park features narrow stretches of mangroves that you will love to explore on a kayak. Furthermore, the park is also rich in history and ecology. You can spot Little Blue Herons, Great Blue Herons, Falcons, Osprey and many other bird species while peddling through the mangroves. If you are in Fort Lauderdale during full moons, take the moonlight tours.

The Butterfly World

A must-do family attraction in the city, Butterfly World is home to about 20,000 butterflies. Take your kids to this one of a kind place where thousands of butterflies in tropical gardens and aviaries flutter all day. They will whirl around your head and may also land you. You can also visit a Bug Zoo in the premises that houses some giant crawlers.

The Canals

We called "Venice of America" for its waterways. You can hop aboard a Water Taxi that would have twelve stops in Fort Lauderdale and five in Hollywood. As you will go past swanky mansions and yachts, you will feel like you are in Venice.

World-class casinos

You can find plenty of casinos in Greater Fort Lauderdale. Besides, Hollywood is also located just around the corner. See if the lady luck favors you. Furthermore, the surrounding areas are filled with spectacular shopping, dining and nightlife.

Air Flyboarding

Flyboarding is an emerging water sport that has gained popularity in Florida. You will stand on a board that will be connected to a jet ski through a long hose. As high-pressure water will rush through the hose, you will be shot up in the air for about 50 feet. Learn the basics and then move on to perform some tricks.

Arts and local wildlife exhibitions at the Bonnet House

Sprawled in 35-acre, Bonnet House, a historic house and museum, features a vast collection of artwork. The museum has a total of 629 painting of artist Fredric Bartlett, who also designed the house, and his wife Evelyn Bartlett. You can take a guided tour to admire the exotic arts and wildlife collections.

This city doesn't just stop to overwhelm you here. There is an exhaustive list of attractions and activities beyond what is mentioned here that can keep you hooked to this pleasant city. Since Fort Lauderdale is such a desired destination, you should start preparing your trip by finding budget-friendly Fort Lauderdale flights deals and then move on to decide on your itinerary. The rule of thumb to grab cheap airline tickets to Fort Lauderdale is booking early.

When you see families traveling with kids, you know that they're really trying their best to keep varying levels of chaos in check at all times. Traveling with kids becomes even harder when you deal with toddlers, but if you're in Nassau Bay, TX, you are certainly in luck because of the sheer amount of cool things there are to do.

Nassau Bay is one of the jewels of an area of Texas known as Bay Area Houston. In essence, think of the area between Houston and Galveston right near the Texas Gulf Coast. Other cities make up the rest of Bay Area Houston, but Nassau Bay stands out simply because of its history. The city was actually a planned community back in the 1960s as NASA developed their space program. Employees of the burgeoning program, along with their families, called Nassau Bay home. This made the community small & quaint by default. As the community incorporated, changes in the population (beyond that of NASA employees) showed that this little haven in Harris County was quite a draw.

If you've got a toddler in tow, an age sometimes referred to as "threenagers", finding things that are fun can be tough, especially if you're not familiar with the area. Here's what Nassau Bay has to offer:

Lake Nassau Park - Toddlers can sometimes be a little rambunctious, so keeping them close is essential. If you'd family enjoys fishing, you have Lake Nassau or Clear Creek as great options, or a simple picnic with the family may be the best way to keep everyone close but still enjoying nature.

Street Eatz Party - This is a family-friendly affair with free admission. The event is all about getting people together and celebrating community engagement. Live music, food trucks, and even a little beer & wine for the adults make this event very popular. The best part - it's held twice a year.

Space Center Houston - Toddlers are small, which means when they see big, they really see something that blows their mind. A trip to Space Center Houston isn't just big - it's out of this world. Not only do you have great educational opportunities for kids of all ages, but there is a lot of room for exploration by little ones.
Kemah Boardwalk - It's a little old-school, but how often can you share part of the fun of your own childhood? It's like having your favorite carnival attractions in one place. Aside from the rides, families have access to all sorts of games, restaurants, and concerts.
Friday Fireworks - If your toddler is like other kids, big, bright explosions in the night sky are about as cool as anything ever! The fireworks are only available during the summer, which means you've got limited opportunities to check this out.

Finding fun things to do in Nassau Bay, TX, especially with toddlers, is actually really easy to do. The entire area not only takes pride in its commitment to preserving the natural beauty of this part of Texas; it's also proud of making everything as family-friendly as possible. After all, It's all about quality time with the kiddos, so no matter what you do, you'll be making some super-sweet memories!

There are many culturally diverse cities in Europe that are easily accessible with budget airlines, particularly Barcelona.

Often hailed as one of the best cities in the world, Barcelona is a fashionable location to come into contact with the old and new alongside each other and where all your senses will work overtime.

It is easy enough to see why Barcelona is so popular with its unceasing variety of attractions and sights tempting tourists from all walks of life. Stretching from La Ramblas covering the old port of Barcelona and the Plaza Catalunya, an entire day can be dedicated to walking around the Barri Gothic Quarter without venturing any further as there plenty to see and do. Wander around the labyrinths of the narrow streets that meander between old buildings which open out into quaint squares, and then have a break in one of the alfresco cafes full of bustling tapas bars in the vicinity. Find out something about the chronicle of the city and its Roman roots, or visit the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia that is constructed throughout the 13 and 14 century.

Initially planned by Catalan publisher Joseph Bocabella, who wanted to achieve Catholic Church triumphs via the guard of St. Joseph, this monumental assignment eventually came in the hands of Gaudi when he was just thirty-one years old. Barcelona is truly blessed with his wonderful designs, he could be indeed, and the main reason the city attracts so many sightseers. This famous work by Gaudi will be the most incredible church you will ever see.

Barcelona is still the birthplace for many progressive architects such as the award-winning Ricardo Bofill, the man behind the iconic W Barcelona, shaped like a gigantic boat sail. Born in Barcelona in 1939, Bofill is celebrated for his architectural structures that blend with different cultures. It will also be difficult to miss the perfect geometric block of ME Barcelona Hotel, a glass building designed by French architect Dominique Perrault. Barcelona is widely celebrated for its innovative planning and accessible open spaces; hence there are plenty of places to stroll such as the beaches and gardens. Two of the best are, that goes without saying, Guell Park, another Park de la Ciudadella, a park in Ciutat Vella famous for its museums and boating lake.

In the city centre, there are several places that you can take a walk and admire the sceneries, or enjoy fresh coffee in Las Ramblas while watching pedestrians, musicians and performers. Bars in Barcelona start to fill up from 2am onwards. There are plenty of late licensed bars that may stay open as late, or as early as 10am. These bars are not dance clubs but you can either wind down or party some more, depending on your state of mind at that time. There are plenty of live music jam sessions, jazz, blues, burlesque and clubs to choose from particularly in the Las Ramblas boulevard but do not expect crowds until 2 or 3am.

Maremagnum will be the ideal location for families as it is a huge waterfront mall with plenty of walkways and bars before the dark hour starts. As the families depart and the party animals arrive you will find everything here from stylish bars to Irish pubs, it is quite easy to party here till morning as some of the clubs stay open until 6am.

Obviously, holiday time depends heavily on either work schedule or budget. Many hotels and airlines give discounts on Friday to Sunday reservations and this gives you plenty of time to enjoy the attractions, shop and have a good night out.

If you want a simple way to travel, then think about staying in holiday apartments since Barcelona has a large number of apartments for any requirements. An apartment in any city can help save money and give you a more unique experience of living in a different culture. The internet is the best source for landing yourself the appropriate rental apartment.
